Many congratulations to Helen Arbon and her cast and crew for Underdog: The Other Other Brontë - a super production to mark our second visit to Sudbury Arts Centre: "absolutely superb" and "fantastic" were just two enthusiastic comments from audience members.

Tickets for the 2026 panto Aladdin are ON SALE so get booking to secure your tickets!

2027 Season: details of our 2027 season line up are available and the audition for the first production of 2027, Blithe Spirit, will be held on November 4th (more details here).

We're showcasing the 2027 season productions in a Play Preview gathering on Sunday November 1st at 1.30pm in the Jetty. As usual, each director will give a short presentation about their play with a brief extract to give you a flavour of what to expect. This is being combined with our usual end of month Sunday Social, so after the play preview we'll repair to a local hostelry for drinks and animated discussion about the plays we've just seen showcased.

We don't have a 2027 pantomime confirmed as yet: if you're interested in directing one for SDS please get in touch with your ideas ASAP. Whether you have a particular panto in mind or not doesn't matter as scripts and ideas can always be found, so email us on sds@sudburydramatic.com if you're interested.

Socials: we have all the dates confirmed for our last Sunday of the month socials through to near the end of 2026. As mentioned above, we're combining the usual last Sunday of the month social with the 2027 season Play Preview gathering on November 1st (1.30pm), so there is no Sunday social at the Quay on 25th October.

Bar Humbug - our popular seasonal gathering is confirmed for Saturday December 5th. As last year we're at Sudbury Town Hall from 7.30pm. More details.

Long standing member Richard Fawcett passed away in late March - read our tribute to him.

Quay car park: a reminder the main car park directly in front of the theatre is now controlled by a third party car parking company, so remember to register your vehicle when parking. Details here. Also, if you are using the Jetty please DO NOT move the table the parking permit tablet sits on or interfere in any way with the connections.

Fancy helping out backstage or on the technical side? If so, help is always gratefully received and full training is provided. Contact technical manager Adam Webster for more info.

If you'd like further details of any of this season's productions get in touch and we'll put you in touch with the relevant director. Also, if you know anyone who is interested in getting involved then put them in touch with our membership secretary who would be delighted to provide further info. We've welcomed several new people over the past year, so get involved!
